Effortlessly Easy

On Effort and Ease.

Lately, I have had the privilege of taking some time out to witness my thought patterns. The latest thought which got me stuck rather awestruck, was in the discovery of an active relationship between effort and ease.

Effort is the effect of internal willingness to make a change; perform an act, decide, think or act in a way that shifts something within oneself and eventually, outside.

Ease, as I understand; is a state of being. Where one’s own beliefs and actions; align with one’s pre decided intentions.

It appeared to me that more effort does not necessarily produce more ease. But there seemed to be a link between the two, in some form or the other. Maybe the amount of effort put in the right direction; at the right time, delivers ease?

I was not sure, so I decided to pen down my thoughts related to efforts and ease.

I understand, there are many levels of obstacles and certificates for facing a challenge in crossing a hurdle, much like a horse race.

Ideally, one must identify the hurdles much in advance, then practice jumping one hurdle at a time. There comes a point where practice has boosted the confidence; and the horse is ready to attempt the full circle, from start to finish, not missing even a single hurdle on the way.

Think, persistence in pursuing and achieving a goal. Persistence being the effort and achievement of the goal, being the ease. And hurdles to be life unfolding, based on the law of attraction.

Horses win or loss is irrelevant, for there is always more time to practice and perfect the skill. Provided, there is a masterful jockey in the picture. Taking full responsibility of the animal and guiding it patiently to the victory line.

Sort of like a teacher, guide, Guru in a way.

Some jockeys do not give up on a horse; their faith keeps the horse motivated to keep putting in the effort. They take care of their wards, ensuring proper nourishment, exercise, massage, and rest. Its clockwork routine, regular maintenance with full faith in the potential of the horse. The jockey grooms and loves the horse, with full faith and hope; that they will win.

Now, imagine, the horse to be your body and the jockey to be your mind.

Technically, you are your own Guru.

The big question is, are you in touch with your inner Jockey Guru? Are you aware of its existence? Do you know what it sounds like?

Can your body adhere to the minds command without question? Can it reciprocate the faith poured into it. Can it run freely trusting that the mind is watching over, and is in full power and command? Can that trust become the foundation of the body- mind relationship?

The subtle question is, can you trust your own higher self to take the lead?

Is your mind having the skill to anticipate the hurdles? Can it muster up the much-needed faith, to truly love the body it inhabits and be present with it, gently holding space for mistakes and guide it through everyday life?

Can it do this without mixing other people’s opinions with its own. Can your inner jockey, filter outside information? The voice that comes from within, has full record of your background, like a record or a data sheet; it is customized to you; as it is your own memory bank acting like a record keeper.

Does your jockey mind, consider your body’s temperament? And make space for your specific combination of traits and reflexes? Does it avoid anything that comes to it as distraction? Is it able to accept the horse blinders (rules) as a tool given to hone focus, instead of considering it an enforced obstruction of vision?

Recognizing this inner jockey, is the first step, believing in it comes next. Following it with trust and love happens as a by-product.

When the mind believes and aligns with a higher power, it can easily recognize and accept its own nature. It sees itself as a part of an existing amazing system. Initially, it may take some extra strength as courage, from the higher ups, in order to accept its true nature; as and when it reveals itself.

But asking and taking help, is just another part of the growing process.

When the belief in the higher power, is in the lack; no higher power can influence.

As humans by themselves are the free yielders of a beautiful power, called the willpower. Just by observing your willingness across everyday life, you can master yourself in very little time. Being unable to spot its appearances every now and then, can be a sign of not having spent enough time with yourself.

Imagine, the mind not recognizing the nature of its own body! Because it has no patience to witness the body for what it is. Leave alone, know of its preferences, repulsions etc.

Without the data sheet of ones own natural likes and dislikes, (which are essentially the results; of the workings of the body, in accordance or against the circadian rhythm), the body does not feel like the mind sees it thoroughly; to listen to it as response; leave alone follow its advice. To the body that feels like blind trust. And humans, are not meant to trust blindly.

One must have trust in self as investment to be able to use trust as a currency with others. The good news is that trust can be cultivated within oneself; ideally, in adherence to a higher power to avoid falling into the ego trap. A higher power could be whatever god, religion, or ideals you choose. Basically wherever your respect goes naturally.

Trust can also be built by observing yourself, your needs, wants, desires, beliefs, repulsions and then consciously practicing patience and non judgement. Only when there is trust, surrendering to the mind happens. Without surrender, you live in a constant state of vigilant distrust, and no awards for guessing what kind of life that would be.

A life with polar opposite thoughts staring at your face. Unsure of which way to take, building up stagnation to avoid making up the mind, reflecting in delaying or procrastinating taking decisions.

Lack of trust in one’s own mind is natural when the mind has not spent enough time getting to know and understand the body it inhabits.

Mind becomes a good jockey only if it believes in its own body’s intelligence and does not complete with it. Life is not a competition. We are all here for our own purposes, with personal history and timelines. We may cross paths with people and entangle ourselves in their lives, but awareness of it can fix it, bringing the attention back to the focal point of building your own life and plot based on your own preferences.

When the body surrenders to a mind that is humble enough to accept the existence of a higher power, trust gets generated in heaps. The vibration of trust and surrender go hand in hand, almost like they feed one another. They can also feed- off one another and drain each other out, if the evil of doubt, hacks and corrupts either one’s system.

Doubts emerge from fear, which emerge from the lack of faith.

Lack of knowledge about self, leads to lack of faith in ones own decisions. An aligned mind transmutes doubts to faith.

There are a lot of faithless people walking around, appearing normal, leading an emotional aftermath of an electrocuted zombie.

A deep sense of humility exists in recognizing and accepting your own true nature. That humility is something, misaligned people run from.

Cultivate your interests for they provide the content in your contentment.

Humility, perhaps is the missing link between effort and ease.

True ease is the result of the effort you put in getting to know yourself.

Humility just happens as a bridge; if you are being real and true to yourself.

As always, do what you want with this gyan.

Later then.

Bubble of Life

Feminine energy is commonly associated with softness, tenderness, lightness, maybe even an aerated state, it’s full of movement (Shakti), has its own current (vibe), it flows, has its own rhythm (influence). It’s a soft rhythmic beat, tender like a heartbeat. Soft but powerful. Tiny but potent.   Think of emotions as a flowing river (Blood). Imagine the countless bubbles to be countless memories that fill the water with air (DNA memory Imprints). Each memory bubble just waiting to burst, (to be looked into), only to merge with the rest of the flow, through the currents, giving up its individual resistance, in order to flow. Here on, it just has to be. It’s definitive in its own unique sense of identity, as a part of a whole. Alone and together. Yin and yang, north and south, it merges but does not lose or diminish in its power. It has access to the strength of the whole. It’s in a state of oneness. The merging results in you, being the state of oneness, to experience...

Plagued by lies , read lice!

Ever had to lie to a boyfriend, hairstylist or a friend about the incessant scalp itching and as to why your nails are constantly digging into your scalp and your face looks like its going to explode??? Ever had to give silly excuses and admitting rather nonchalantly ,to having dandruff or sometimes writing off the itch as “effects of pollution” or “jus worked out so scalp sweat makes you itch” . Hey! Admitting to dandruff is embarrassing by itself but when it competes with the embarrassment of admitting to having hair lice, having tiny white flakes that stick on your shirt every time you move your head left to right, doesn’t seem so bad after all.. Well that’s pretty much how iv been dealing with this rather miserable and not to mention scalp burning catastrophe which struck me like thunderbolt (ok exaggerating a little here! ) . Here is how it happened!.. A couple of days ago my dads personal maid approached me with rather pink cheeks. ( ok ! so she is dark but the problem s...
